- Thanks to Bill Peckmann, we can look at a few more of the great cartoons by Peter Arno. These were all done for The New Yorker magazine. All three posts done on Arno represent about ½ the book on the cartoonist.

Question: Does anyone remember a cartoon in which a woman is lying in bed in a slip smoking a cigarette in a bare apartment, exposed light bulb hanging from the ceiling (like a tenemant), while a scruffy man, perhaps a lover or her husband, brings her a drink on a tray. The caption is something like, “Harry, you’re a goddamn jewel.” My father thinks it’s a Peter Arno, and I’d like to find it for him. Thanks.
