“Ex Vida†from Santiago Cohen – 7
- Continuing the epic artpiece by Santiago Cohen takes us to part #7, and with it another possible ending. Santiago may have produced more, in which case it will continue into next week. I hope so; it’s been a treat to post this brilliant work.

-That’s it folks…
After four and a half years working on “Vida†you have seen the 900 paintings that I have done. I have one more year to finish my original plan. I want to thank Michael Sporn for giving me his precious Blog space and all the readers who followed it.

It has been interesting and fun re-living many of these life fragments, and to see what Santiago remembers. It has also been much cheaper than a therapist (San listens to himself for free). Being THE Ethel in the story, I am rooting for a happy ending.

I remember when Santiago received that initial charge from the Charlotte Salomon show. Wow, seems he did receive a torch and carried it with as much heart as Charlotte, but so much a happier outcome here. It’s easy to envy his seemingly effortless economy of brush stroke and color, but got dammit, there is also a wonderful story to boot. Should he ever slow down, he will definitely desoiv his charter in the “Gentlemens of Leisure Clubâ€. They will no doubt be screening the animated splendor that is this Ex Vida. Cheers Santiago!
