more Troll models
- The Rowland Wilson storyboard sequence from Don Bluth’s A Troll in Central Park, which I posted yesterday, had lots of interesting bits. This is made more evident by the number of great models Rowland did for the sequence. Thanks to Bill Peckmann‘s collection, there are many of these to post, and I think you’ll find them interesting. They’re what you want in a model; they excite interest in animating those characters. At least, that would be the case for me.

Here, additionally, are more anmial and plant character models for the film.

Fantastic resource material. You have an online education program that animators and artists at any level could get fired up and re-inspired by. AND IT”S FREE! Congratulations on “Pabs”. How often do you see the invention of the creative impulse in animated art? The opening reminds me of “Towers”. The hand knows how to please still. The posting of Scher’s new animation is a continuation of your effort to expand the mind’s eye, for animators especially, how to see again. Scher and Lynch are doing a mini Qatsi quotation, no? Free school. Maybe you should get a “prize” for the effort to change the world through art. One need not have to accomplish it however to win.

It’s amazing how many varied styles Wilson could accommodate while still remaining true to his own.
