Betty with Fur walk
- I haven’t posted a Betty Boop walk cycle in some time, so I thought I’d pick on this one. Betty’s walking with a new fur stole, caressing it as she walks. Sweetly animated by Myron Waldman for the film Pudgy Picks a Fight in 1937.

Poor animal, but good animation. Betty is drawn very appealingly here. Myron Waldman did a good job here. Do you have anything of the early Betty Boops?

When I was doing Osmosis Jones I noticed that my two top women animators, Wendy Perdue and Sydney Padua, had no difficulty in animating our female lead character walking in high heels. I’m not saying this to be sexist, it was just a basic action that they had much more experience with doing, so they could recreate it without breaking a sweat. Think I’m still wrong? Try animating a character in heels yourself without the ankles looking stiff.
Now what Myron’s excuse is…?

@Lilyanne He took snapshots of each and every frame, and then snipped each one of them one by one, kind of like cels. And he just put them in sync, and it creates an animation.
